Event organizers are now taking applications for Charleston’s annual Christmas parade. The celebration is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 5 and will feature a neon wonderland theme, according to a news release from the city. Businesses, school groups and other organizations can apply on a first-come, first-serve basis and any additional applicants will be placed on a wait list. They’ll take 125 entries. Event organizers said the preliminary parade route will navigate Kanawha Boulevard, Capitol Street, Washington Street and Summers Street.
