Charleston police are remembering the service of K-9 Rex, a dedicated member of the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team. The K-9 was euthanized Tuesday after surgery and treatment failed to remedy health issues, according to a social media post from the police department. Rex was nearly 9 years old and worked to detect narcotics in packages and parcels.
