Getting onto Lipscomb University’s basketball court has been an uphill battle for Jack Ingold. Ingold played high school basketball at Cross Lanes Christian School and George Washington High School, but didn’t have any offers to continue the game at the collegiate level. At Lipscomb University, just outside of Nashville, with dreams of being a walk-on Ingold worked his way to equipment manager before making the team and playing junior year. He got quite the surprise during the team’s Christmas party. Ingold, along with the team’s other fifth-year seniors, received a book from coach Lennie Acuff, complete with a personal note in the front cover saying he’s now on a full scholarship.
