Tony Gibson, North Carolina State’s defensive coordinator, has been named head coach of Marshall football after Charles Huff accepted the role at Southern Miss.
Gibson is a Boone County native who was named the program’s 32nd head coach shortly after Huff was announced as Southern Miss’ new head coach. Before moving to NC State, Gibson worked as the defensive coordinator at West Virginia University. He also had coaching stints at Pitt and Arizona.
