Nitro High School teacher wins a Milken award

A Nitro teacher was surprised this week with the state’s 2024-25 Milken Educator Award. Adam Wolfe, a math and engineering teacher at Nitro High School, was surprised with the award during an all-school assembly, according to a news release from the Milken Family Foundation. Along with the award, Wolfe received an unrestricted $25,000 cash prize and national recognition for his outstanding efforts both inside and outside of the classroom. Wolfe is a former engineer who uses his industry experience to better support students. He is the 80th Milken Educator Award recipient in West Virginia.
