A warrant has been issued after authorities identified a potential suspect in an armed robbery that occurred in Kanawha County Friday morning, according to deputies. A felony arrest warrant for Michael Allen Stone, 38, of Malden was issued following a robbery at a Speedway gas station that happened about 5 a.m. along the 500 block of Campbell’s Creek Drive, according to a release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Stone was identified on surveillance footage exiting a silver minivan and entering the store before approaching the store clerk, brandishing a gun and demanding money from the register. The video then allegedly shows Stone taking nearly $200 in change from the change dispenser. The statement said that deputies received a tip about the minivan that led authorities to its location in the Simmons Creek area of Belle and law enforcements identified Stone as a suspect.
