The Charleston Town Center’s last remaining anchor store announced it is closing earlier this week. The JCPenney location at the Town Center will be permanently closing May 25, according to Eyewitness News. The announcement means the mall will lose its last remaining anchor store. Portions of the mall that housed Sears and Macy’s were demolished in recent years. The Hull Group purchased the Town Center in 2021. The Charleston Town Center currently lists 25 stores and eight restaurants on its website.
