Kohl’s not closing in WVA

It was announced earlier this week that Kohl’s is closing 27 stores across the United States to improve profitability, but so far none of the retailer’s seven West Virginia locations are on the list of closures. The closures, expected to be completed by April, target underperforming locations in 13 states, but these account for a small percentage of Kohl’s 1,150 stores nationwide. According to outgoing CEO Tom Kingsbury in a statement “We always take these decisions very seriously,” “As we continue to build on our long-term growth strategy, it is important that we also take difficult but necessary actions to support the health and future of our business for our customers and our teams.”
