The Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority announced changes this week to its services and routes set to go into effect in February. According to a news release, the two main changes for KRT passengers to be aware of are:
The last Sunday Service will be on Sunday, Feb. 2. Sunday, Feb. 9 will be the first Sunday without service.
Beginning on Monday, Feb. 10, KRT service hours will be Monday-Saturday 4 a.m. – 1:55 a.m.
The agency said some routes and times have also been modified. KRT said it plans to improve frequency on routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 17, 19 & 21 due to their high demand. The service and route changes were recommended after a comprehensive analysis in the winter of 2023. The KRT received public comment during the summer and fall of 2024.
