Other trials delayed because of the Sissonville abuse, trafficking case

The trials of three men accused in a shooting near the Shawnee Sports Complex in May 2024 have been delayed due to an ongoing trial in the same courtroom. Kaden Bowen will go on trial beginning April 7 while trials for Zion Clark and Antonio Jacobs are scheduled for April 28.The three men have pleaded not guilty to wanton endangerment following the shooting near a Smoot Avenue apartment building. Investigators said some shots were fired towards athletic fields where several youth sporting events were being held. No one was injured in the incident. Eyewitness News said their trials were delayed due to the ongoing trial of a couple accused of child neglect, forced labor and trafficking after children were found locked in a Sissonville barn.
