A weather alert day is is effect with this winter storm bringing a mixture of heavy snow, freezing rain, and icy conditions regionwide. With a wintry mix of rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain early today in Charleston, a transition back to all snow will occur during the afternoon. Expect an additional 2-3 inches with these widely scattered snow showers continuing through Monday Night, according to meteoroligsts at Eyewitness News. Snow showers are possible through Wednesday. Gov. Jim Justice declared a state of emergency in all 55 counties.
