An investigation is underway after human remains were found in Mingo County. The Mingo County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call about 7:45 p.m. Thursday about possible remains that were found in the Dingess area. Deputies said they were able to confirm that the remains were human and the West Virginia State Police Crime Scene Team was called for assistance and have been on scene since. No other details were provided.
