A Kanawha County couple were arrested and charged with child neglect on Friday after they were discovered in their vehicle asleep with drug paraphernalia while their child with them, court records said. Upon arrival, deputies discovered, Jordan Wade Loudin, 29, and Amy Nicole Briers, 33, of South Charleston, in the driver and passenger seats, respectively, while an infant was in backseat. Records said that both Loudin and Briers admitted to using heroin and the deputies called in a drug recognition expert to perform an evaluation that determined that Loudin was under the influence. Both were charged with child neglect creating risk of injury and are being held at South Central Regional Jail on a $15,000 bond.
