New developments are being considered in Mason County

Two years ago, the town of Henderson in Mason County was dissolved and was relabeled as an unincorporated community. County leaders now call it a prime spot for economic development, according to Eyewitness News. The Henderson community encompasses 40 acres and the Mason County Development Authority owns 65% of that. The goal is to attract travelers and encourage them to stop at hotels and restaurants before they get to Ohio. The area is in a floodplain and would have to be lifted before it can be developed.
