He told Eyewitness News that the tenants are not being evicted as previously thought. But there is a date upcoming. On February 26, the owner will start filing eviction notices with the magistrate’s office in Boone County. The note that he had left on the doors on January 26 didn’t have a date confirming when this was to take place. It only said that the tenants needed to find other lodging immediately. Weaver said that he believed tenants were informed of the specific dates by a manager, but residents said they weren’t aware of an exact date.
