A Kanawha County man is accused of striking a woman on the head and forcing her into his home Monday where he sexually assaulted and beat her, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Danny Lee Sanders Jr. of Elkview faces charges after a woman reported a violent incident to deputies. Court records said the woman was able to escape through a window and contact law enforcement. nvestigators reported the woman suffered multiple blunt force injuries, extreme swelling, cuts and abrasions to her face and neck. Sanders is awaiting court proceedings at South Central Regional Jail.
