Historic Point Pleasant hotel prepares for a renovation

The historic Lowe Hotel in Point Pleasant now has new owners. Eyewitness News said an attorney from Point Pleasant who wishes to remain anonymous paid nearly $2 million for the building, and the hope is that move will drive economic development downtown. The hotel has been a fixture in Point Pleasant since it was built in 1901, surviving floods and other disasters. The new owner plans to keep the historic look of the building intact. All of the money for the $6 million project is a private investment. Efforts to revitalize the building are expected to start be the end of 2025 and take 18 months to complete.
