Mingo County students head back to class after floods

As Mingo County is trying to recover from its biggest flood in decades, kids have been out of school for two weeks. Today they start to get back to a routine. Mingo County Schools open on a two-hour delay today and regular start times will be in effect on Wednesday. Some families in the county are without water, according to Eyewitness News. Mingo County Emergency Management said in a Facebook post that they are awaiting a new pump after their intake was clogged causing the old pump to fail.
Despite the issues that some are having with their water and other impacts from the flood, teachers and staff will be there to support students.
