Staffing issues remain a concern at FCC Hazelton

Some prison staff members have resigned over pay issues. Prisons were already have a tough time navigating staffing shortages and with recruitment and retention pay being cut at federal prisons across the country, workers are calling on the Trump Administration to reverse the cuts. The federal prisons in West Virginia that are affected include FCC Hazelton in Preston County, considered one of the deadliest prisons in the U.S. The AFGE said in a news release that it fears the cuts will make working conditions less safe. Several correctional officers have already resigned.
