An historic church has been renovated into something new, and it could bring new life to the area when it opens later this spring. The historic Baptist Church in Corton is re-opening for the first time in over 50 years after seven months of renovations. The church building is more than one hundred years old, and it’s becoming a lodge after the developer partnered with local vendors and contractors on the project. They’re hoping outdoor enthusiasts take advantage of the walking trails and direct access to the Elk River when the Corton lodge opens on June 7. The property spans nearly two hundred acres and they have plans to add more features down the road.
