A large brushfire in Kanawha County Friday night caused a power outage a left many people unable to reach their homes. The blaze was reported along a hillside near The Ridges neighborhood along the 300 block of Wills Drive in South Charleston. Around 250 homes were impacted, according to the Appalachian Power outage map. South Charleston Fire Department and Allen Creek Fire Department responded and were able to contain the fire.
