Flooding issues impact baseball fields

Those in Ona are dealing with flooding at their baseball fields. Corey Weaver, who works with the minor baseball division, told Eyewitness News that they’ve been very fortunate to have community support and a lot of the volunteers within the league come out to help soak up water and rake the fields. Fields in Wayne and Lincoln have been trading their practices and games in for flood cleanup. These three leagues make up 41% of the district’s little leagues and with cleanup efforts still underway, it throws a wrench into the beginning of the season. Some games have been rescheduled.
