Students will see a tuition increase at Marshall University this fall

Officials at Marshall University have approved hikes for tuition and fees in addition to room and board. Marshall’s Board of Governors approved a 2.5% tuition increase for West Virginia undergraduate and graduate students while metro, non-resident and international student tuition will remain the same, according to a news release from the university. Eyewitness News said housing will go up by 2.6% and dining will raise by 4%. Marshall University Brad Smith cited “federal and state policy shifts” along with “financial uncertainties” for the hikes.
