Tuesday marked the first day back at school for students at Verdunville Elementary in Logan County. The school has been closed for the majority of the month after a hillside slip on April 8. American Geotech in Charleston has been the company handling the fix and inspecting the rockslide to make sure it’s safe for students to return. The hillside has been fixed, and mud and debris from behind the building have been cleared so students can be in their building for the last few weeks of school.
