Charges have been upgraded against a man arrested in the shooting death of a woman at a Kanawha City gas station on Tuesday. Jacob Fields, 18, of Charleston was initially charged with wanton endangerment and involuntary manslaughter for the shooting death of Tiffany Adkins. On Wednesday, police upgraded the charge to murder.The shooting took place just after midnight Tuesday at the Sheetz along MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City. Investigators said they obtained surveillance video that showed Fields pointing his gun at Adkins as she walked by a vehicle he was sitting in moments before the shooting, according to a new criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
