Schools in Clay County were closed Friday after a mudslide caused power outages for residents and local schools. The slide happened about 8 p.m. Thursday between the town of Clay and Clay County High School. Crews have been working since then to clear the road. No information was available on when power would be restored in that area or when the slide would be cleaned up.
