Eyewitness News picked up another prestigious award this week, winning a 2025 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Breaking News Coverage. The award comes as a result of the station’s coverage of the April 2, 2024, tornadoes that hit the region. The Radio Television Digital News Association Edward R. Murrow Awards are considered to be among the most respected journalism honors in the world and are named after renowned radio and television news broadcaster Edward R. Murrow.
