Ventroux Road in Putnam County needs serious attention

Ventroux Road in Putnam County continues to crumble after years of what neighbors said have only been short-term fixes. “They patched it. There’s water over top of it, it’s not warm enough for this to set and it’s already washed out in several areas,” resident Jennifer Walters said. Walters said “It’s gotten worse, a lot worse. They dug out part of the road,” she said. “The water culvert needs to be replaced but to do that they need to shut this whole road down which is going to cause a lot of issues and that’s why they built our 911 road but it’s been let go too and we don’t have it anymore.” The road is the only way residents can get to their homes. There are no alternatives, which is why they said they just want to see a permanent fix no matter how long it could take.
