More than 20,000 people were without power Saturday afternoon after thunderstorms rolled through the area Friday night. According to the Appalachian Power website, the most heavily impacted counties include Lincoln, (3,228) Kanawha, (3,052) Mingo, (2,996) Logan, (1,852) Mason, (1,760) Boone (1,262) and Wayne (1,159). Most power was restored to most customers by Sunday night. althought there may be spotty outages.
