Drivers utilizing Interstate 64 in Kanawha County may find delays this month as crews address bridge rehabilitation efforts. The left lane and shoulder of Interstate 64 East will be closed, allowing for a shift in traffic between Institute and Dunbar, exits 50 and 53, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation. Work on the Academy and Finney Road bridges will likely stretch into early July. They’ll have a stop sign up on Institute’s eastbound onramp and detours will be in effect.
