Saturday marked the start of the Children’s Art Fair as part of the annual FestivALL event. Neighborhood Arts Coordinator Stephanie Spiker told Eyewitness News, incorporating the Children’s Art Fair in FestivALL allows children to see art in ways they may have never experienced while it introduces them to forms of art like music, dance and painting. The FestivALL website notes that there are 30,000 annual attendees, and it has a $1.8 million impact. What began as a three-day festival produced by volunteers in 2005 is now an arts organization that serves its community with year round events and programs.
