Plan is in the works in Huntington to make roads better

Drivers in Huntington could soon see smoother roads, as the city moves forward with plans not just to fix potholes, but to stop them from forming in the first place. On Monday night, Huntington City Council approved two resolutions aimed at improving asphalt road conditions. As part of the plan, the city will contract with Strawser Construction, a company based in Columbus, Ohio, to perform a treatment called microsurfacing. Microsurfacing involves applying a thin layer of asphalt over existing roads to help extend their lifespan.
