Transportation officials have made “significant improvements” to a bump in the road near Nitro. A problematic dip along Interstate 64 has been “almost completely eliminated,” according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation.The issue originated where a bridge over U.S. 25 met the highway unevenly. The dip had caused some passing vehicles to scrape, raising safety concerns.Crews raised slabs and injected foam, leveling out the area.
