Fall foliage maps will be released soon

It won’t be long and fall foliage season will be here, and that means a boots to the fall tourism season. The West Virginia Department of Tourism released its anticipated fall foliage projection map that predicts when and where the foliage will appear across the state. WCHS TV said summer rainfall totals have set the stage for exceptional color this season, especially in the mountains. Starting mid-September, the Department of Tourism will roll out weekly travel-ready itineraries highlighting some of the best destinations and adventures for enjoying vibrant color. Beginning late September, the department’s live leaf tracker will also showcase photos shared with #AlmostHeaven and will be updated in real time.
