An armed man was fatally shot by a homeowner after he was found inside a home in Kanawha County on Friday according to deputies. The incident was reported just before 12:30 p.m. in the Rocky Fork area, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the homeowner was approached by the man, who was allegedly armed with a knife and a baseball bat, when he went to enter the home. A physical altercation eventually spread to the yard where the homeowner shot the man, deputies said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed in the incident.
