New aircraft plant coming to Harrison County

A multimillion-dollar aircraft hangar is in the works for Harrison County, West Virginia. An aircraft and engine maintenance facility is being built next to Bridgeport’s North Central Regional Airport, according to a news release from KCI Aviation. The news release said the $16 million project is expected to generate 25-30 positions for mechanics. KCI has divided the development into two phases which will connect to current runways at North Central.First, a 30,000 square foot maintenance hangar capable of holding two large-cabin airplanes is expected to be finished in early 2026. KCI noted the facility will provide engine support, removal and installation capabilities.A second phase will add 50,000 square feet of space and allow for inspection and maintenance along with fly-in work and mobile repairs.
