Kanawha County residents are learning more about a major power line project that could start in 2027.
Appalachian Power is planning to rebuild a two-mile stretch of its Chemical-Washington Street transmission line — some of which dates back nearly 100 years.
If approved by the state Public Service Commission, the upgrade would improve reliability, boost capacity, and reduce outages.
Residents are being encouraged to review project details and share feedback with the company.
