A former Putnam County school bus driver involved in a crash with 28 students on board pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge. Amy Allen pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving causing serious bodily injury in the April 2024 crash. The state dismissed 50 remaining charges as part of the plea deal. The crash happened in April 2024. Allen faces 10 days to six months in jail and a fine of $50 to $1,000. Eyewitness News said Allen’s contract with Putnam County Schools was terminated on May 8, 2024.
