The British motorcycle company Triumph hosted the world premiere of its latest model at the Hatfield-McCoy Trails in Tornado this week.
Moto-journalists from across the U.S. and around the world gathered to test the new bikes and they brought national and international attention to the trails and to West Virginia.
Triumph had announced the new models two weeks ago, but this marked the first time they were available for journalists to ride and review. Publications like Racer X and Dirtbike Rider were among those in attendance.
Kanawha County officials say the event highlights the region’s growing role as a tourism and motorsports destination. The county has been investing in the Hatfield-McCoy Trails for the past two years to attract events.
