The Kanawha County Board of Education picked Michael Arbogast to be the interim replacement to fill a spot left by the resignation of member Tracy White. Arbogast has previously served the school system as a service personnel worker, teacher and most recently principal at South Charleston High School. He retired from that position in 2018. WCHS TV said Arbogast’s appointment will run until White’s term was set to expire on June 30, 2026, and a new member will be elected by the public to the board.
White announced last week she was resigning from the board due to personal obligations.
