Some WV residents will get supplemental energy payments this month

State officials announced an automatic supplemental payment for energy will be made to eligible West Virginia residents. Recipients of the 2024-25 Low Income Energy Assistance Program will receive a one-time automatic payment, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Human Services Bureau for Family Assistance. Payments range from $25 to $53, and will be determined by the amount of assistance provided for heating costs. Payments are expected to be processed by the end of the month.
