A man is arrested after an attack earlier this year

A Huntington man is behind bars after police say he attacked a woman and set her car on fire. Eric Congleton faces several charges, including arson, strangulation, and domestic battery.

Investigators say Congleton set fire to his ex-girlfriend’s car outside her Sixth Avenue home last year, using a landscaping block to break a window before lighting the blaze.

Then in February, he allegedly assaulted and strangled a woman during an argument and later damaged property inside the home.

Police spotted him this week wearing a ski mask and say he ran from officers before being stopped with a Taser.

Congleton is now being held at Western Regional Jail on $120,000 bond.
