Dunbar leaders vote to tear down an old fire station

Dunbar’s city council has voted to tear down an old fire station. The second fire department in Roxalana closed its doors in April after black mold was found throughout the building. That added a minute or two onto response time in some areas of the city, according to Eyewitness News. At Monday’s Dunbar City council meeting, they voted in favor of tearing the building down. They said there will be an asbestos test done before, but no exact date was given. No timeline or funding has been announced for the long term project.
