Deputies have launched an investigation after human remains were found in the Cabin Creek area of Kanawha County late Thursday night. Remans “in an advanced state of decomposition” were located on an access road near Hill Street and Canady Lane, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.The news release said deputies were flagged won by two men who led them to the area where investigators spent several hours processing the scene and collecting evidence. Deputies secured the area overnight until detectives could return to resume work in the daytime. The remains will go to the medical examiner for identification and cause of death
