A Mingo County couple face several charges after a four-year-old child was found walking naked and alone in the middle of a street early Friday. 27-year old Zachary Johnson and 25-year old Kailee Gerardi were each charged with one count of child neglect causing injury, four counts of child neglect creating risk of injury and one count of animal abuse, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mingo County Magistrate Court. The child was seen in the 100 block of West Fifth Avenue in Williamson and a caller took the girl in until first responders arrived. Once officers found the girl’s parents, the investigation turned up filthy conditions and four other children, who were all taken into custody of Child Protective Services.
