The Charleston YWCA is honoring the late Katherine “Kitty” Dooley with a new mural at the Kitty Dooley Center for Community Enrichment.
Titled The Garden of Dooley, the artwork was created by local artist Tyrone Scott to celebrate Dooley’s lifelong impact as a civil rights attorney and advocate.
City and YWCA leaders joined community members Wednesday evening to unveil the piece and share memories of Dooley, who passed away earlier this month.
