The Putnam County Sheriffs Office posted posted recently on social media that they will have extra patrols in neighborhoods ot cut down on speeding. Sheriff Bobby Eggleton told Eyewitness News that they’re always patrolling, but they’re putting more of a focus on residential and unmarked roads. He said the goal is not to ticket more people, it’s to get people to slow down in rural and residential areas. They’ll rotate every six weeks, and post the locations they’re patrolling on Facebook.
