State police ask for tips after woman’s body is found in the roadway

State Police in Randolph County are asking for help identifying a woman found dead in a roadway early Saturday. Troopers say a driver called 911 around 2 a.m. after hitting what they thought was a deer on Back Road in the Mill Creek area. When first responders arrived, they found the body of an adult woman. Investigators haven’t been able to identify her, and her body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
