A child was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Charleston near Edgewood Elementary School. Kanawha County dispatchers said a child was struck by a car outside the school around 7:15 am. Charleston police told WCHS the female child suffered a moderate head injury and was taken to a local hospital.
