New medical institute breaks ground in Charleston

Vandalia Health is expanding its reach in southern West Virginia with a new neuroscience institute in downtown Charleston.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday morning for the facility, which will provide advanced care for conditions like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and epilepsy.
Officials say the center will bring testing, treatment, rehabilitation, and inpatient therapy together under one roof—improving access and outcomes for patients.
The institute will operate through CAMC General Hospital, West Virginia’s Level One Trauma Center, strengthening neurological care across the region.
